How to Bet on Election Odds

Election markets 101
An election market lists every candidate with a live percentage — the market’s current estimate of their chance to win. You can back any candidate Yes (they win) or No (they don’t).
Because fields are big, most candidates trade in single digits. The value is rarely in the favorite — it’s in spotting a mispriced mid-field candidate before the narrative shifts.
When odds move most
Debates, primary results, endorsements, and major polls move election odds hardest. If you follow politics closely, you often know which way a debate went before the price fully adjusts.
Risk management
Longshot candidates at 2-3¢ look cheap but usually stay cheap. A disciplined approach: size positions so no single candidate is more than a small share of your bankroll, and use the sell feature to take profit when a price spikes on news rather than waiting for resolution years away.
